Buller Gorge Adventure and Heritage Park
West of Murchison and a few hours of drive from Nelson, is the Buller Gorge Swingbridge. This is a good 1 day trip if you are keen on exploring the outskirts of Nelson. You can complete walks, go gold panning, ride a jet boat and cross the longest swingbridge in New Zealand.

The longest sand spit with a distance of 25km is located at the Western tip of the South Island. It is a renowned bird sanctuary enriched with migrating birds and the perfect location for breeding activity. Main attractions include a historic lighthouse, seals, caves, islands and arches that form Wharariki Beach before dissolving in a series of rolling hills, swamps and lakes.
